Snowflake Cake

Just to kick this off right. No fondant was used on this cake, everything was homemade, and I did not use a stencil. I iced the whole cake with chocolate icing and then dyed the rest of the icing red and piped on an intriquet snowflake by hand. This was a birthday cake I made for a co-worker.

Anniversary Cake

This is a double layer heart cake that I had made for my parents' 25th wedding anniversary. It is a remake of what their wedding cake really did look like.

I used buttercream fondant to cover the cake, did a row of rosets around the bottom and around the middle. I made purple and blue (my mom and dad's favorite colours) chocolate roses around the top. On every second rose I put a little white dove on it. And to finish it off I used rosets to write 'R+S' on top.

My parents loved my remake on their wedding cake.

Glow in the Dark Icing

Glow in the Dark icing is one of my new favorite things. It is so cool that there is now a way to have your cakes of cupcakes glow under a black light.

When you mix gelatin and tonic water it creates a glowing effect under a black light. You can either brush the mixture onto a cake, or you can dip the icing part of the cupcake into the mixture.

If you want actual measurements and directions I would suggest going to this sight. http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Glow-in-the-Dark-Cupcakes
It is the best if you are looking for a step by step process.

Book Cake

This is a chocolate cake I made with chocolate icing and marbled modeling chocolate I rolled out to make it look like a leather book cover. I made a pencil, witch's pendant, wax seal, and piece of parchment out of modeling chocolate. I hand painted everything with icing coloring and piped yellow to make it look like string holding the book together.
